Meet Paco
Monday - 04/12/2021 — My grandson Aiden introduced me to Paco when I visited (for the first time in a year!) She’s a veiled chameleon with the sweetest little feet and gentlest tail that curled around my finger after I finished taking this picture of her on Aiden’s hand.
Turns out female chameleons have softer colors than the males and smaller crests. Paco doesn’t like to have her spinal ridge rubbed, but she loves it when you rub the underside of her jaw. It looks like those little spiny things would be sharp, but they’re not. They feel like soft whiskers.
Anyway, I thought you might enjoy seeing the newest member of my colorful extended family.
