Rainstorm

Monday - 02/01/2021 — One thing I loved about living at the base of Pikes Peak in Colorado all those years ago was being able to watch a storm developing – first the wispy clouds, then the darkening of the sky as they grew, then the trace of rainfall in the distance, then the gathering wind, until finally the storm burst upon me in its full glory.

I kind of miss that now that I live in Georgia. Surrounded by trees, and with the rise of Hog Mountain to the east (which slows down the time of the sunrise considerably), I have no chance to watch the process of unreeling a storm.

I miss that opportunity. I’m glad I had a chance to experience it way back when.
